I agree with Seamus. The trip was great, but I am glad I am home. There was so much to do and some attitudes in which to escape. I have to say my favourite part of the trip was seeing the Aurors demonstrate their skills. It really makes you proud to know that the protectorate has some great witches and wizards defending its people. It also makes one hopeful in the ways he or she might be able to do their duty and serve the LP and the protectorate one day.

As always, when there is a group of us together drama can never be avoided. Although it may have been a little exciting, it seemed a waste of time with all the commotion about the supposed Snape/ not Snape appearance. I dare say certain people wanted to see him and any action it would have involved, no matter how silly and dangerous it would have been. I guess some people feed off of such silly attention.

Lucky for me, at the end of the trip, I didn't have very far to go. Mr Peakes made it back to New London, and we are staying at the house in town for the next couple of days. Then we will go back to the country estate. Seamus, I am sorry I didn't get the chance to say before, but Mr Peakes said you are welcome back anytime. As you know there is plenty of room and loads of things to do at the country estate. Do ask Mr Rosier if you may come again before the start of the next term.

Thank you Prof. Sinistra for planning such a great trip again for us. I had such a great time.

Only we talked with the Aurors later last night and now it looks like we saw someone's dog. Or something.

Anyway, just because it wasn't that Snape bloke doesn't mean it couldn't have been. And no one did it to get attention. I'm sure I didn't want to ruin everyone's afternoon and nor did Lavender!

The best response to people like Mr Crouch is 'oh yes sir, thank you sir, I don't want to take up any more of your valuable time, sir,' and then to shut up.

He can be a good little subject without saying that Ron called MLE down on Hyde Park for a laugh, which is what he's saying.

Even if he doesn't mean it he could get Ron into enormous trouble.

Although now it looks like he's working on getting himself into trouble. If you're right and he doesn't mean any of it and is just trying hard to get on the right side of the powerful people -- well, he's not very good at it.

No, don't see how he could. If he had worked out the lock, he would have used it to talk to me, because I'm on the lock, and he was using an entirely different method to pass messages to me secretly.

Thomas, I really hope if YOU spot someone who might be trying to harm Harry, you speak up first, and worry later about whether people will make fun of you for making a mistake.

Unless you think protecting Harry is one of those side duties that the MLE can just let slide when they're busy.

Oh make me seem twisted why don't you. It's not that one is not worried about Harry's safety. But dogs don't run on their hind legs only. Do you ever think that more harm than good can come from a false alarm. The false alarm could have ended in many of us sustaining injuries.

Just think it through why don't you, and stop pestering me about my comments.

Thank you for your concern with the speed of our investigations, Thomas. Though if I were you, I wouldn't tell others to keep silent about suspicious activity when they see it. All reports are important whether or not the information turns out to be correct.

If you have information to offer about your classmates' behaviour--particularly information based on actual knowledge or direct observation--MLE would be very happy to hear from you.

Not to be rude Sir, but I believe I am misunderstood. I'm not saying that they should be quiet about suspicious activities. But I do believe, although it is not my place to tell you what I believe, that there was a better way to handle it.

Please forgive me if I speak too plain. Harry had protection with him on this trip. And it wasn't as if we were all spread out far from each other during our meal or Ron wouldn't have been able to see the dog's shadow at all. There was no need to make a circus out of the situation especially by spelling it out in the journals when the security on hand had things well under control. Sir. I didn't mean any harm in expressing my views. And I am glad all is well especially when it involves the LP's son.

Sorry Sir. After re-reading my response, I think I need to correct it. Especially the part about the Circus. That was in no way meant to be a comment about the MLE's performance. I meant it as what we students turned it into.

I hope sir, I haven't wasted your valuable time by having you speak directly to me in this way.

Well, it wouldn't have been a very big mistake if it was a Spectral Chameleon Hound. They can make themselves look a lot like people, you know, if they stand next to a person long enough. It's easy then to confuse one of them for a person at a distance.
